Wild Horse Casino at Evergreen Park
This page covers the racetrack casino on the Evergreen Park grounds near Grande Prairie. It sets out where the venue is, who runs it and what the floor holds. Racing, parking and the age rule are covered too.

Where it is and who runs it
Wild Horse Casino sits at 55051 Township Rd 710, Grande Prairie, AB T8W 5A7. That puts it on the southern edge of Grande Prairie, in the County of Grande Prairie No. 1. AGLC lists the venue as "Evergreen Park Casino", a useful name to know when searching its directory. It is a racetrack casino, tied to the live racing at J.D.A. Raceway at Gordon Badger Stadium.
Evergreen Park hosts it. The park is one of seven regional agricultural societies in Northern Alberta, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The casino is run by the Grande Prairie Regional Agricultural & Exhibition Society. In this guide it belongs to the North region, alongside Great Northern Casino at 10910 107 Avenue, run by PURE since June 2026.
On the floor and around the grounds
- Games: AGLC lists slot machines and VLTs, short for video lottery terminals, which are stand-alone electronic games. No table games are listed, so there is no live poker either.
- Off-track betting means wagering on races run somewhere else. About a dozen screens show live races from across North America and Alberta tracks, with self-serve kiosks and winnings collected on site.
- Live racing runs every summer, in July and August, at one of five locations in Alberta with live pari-mutuel racing, where bets go into a shared pool. The card is mostly thoroughbred, with select quarter horse events and Indian Relay Races.
- Race days bring free admission, and families are welcome. Bets go through outdoor self-serve kiosks or indoor wagering at the MNP Concourse, which includes staffed stations.
- Beyond the casino, the park covers over 1,200 acres. A 2,700-seat grandstand hosts horse racing, rodeos and chuckwagon races, and an RV campground has 75 full-service sites.
Before you go
You must be 18 or older to enter. Staff check valid government-issued photo ID for anyone who appears to be under 25, so bring it. Parking is free on site, with over 2,000 spots and accessible parking near each venue.
Opening hours are in the "Plan your visit" table beside the map. Holiday hours can differ, so call 780-532-3279 or check the venue's own page before setting out. The AGLC directory at aglc.ca/gaming/casinos/find-casino-rec lists addresses, phones and games.
