Camrose Casino in Camrose
This page covers Camrose Casino, part of Camrose Resort & Casino in Camrose, southeast of Edmonton. It sets out where the casino sits and what is on the floor. It also covers who has run it, the relocation case and the rules at the door.

Where it is and who runs it
Camrose Casino stands at 3201 48 Avenue, Camrose, AB T4V 0K9, on the south side of Highway 13. That puts it on the east side of town. The adjoining hotel now trades as Best Western Plus Rose Country Hotel. The casino takes the left side of the property, and casino guests are advised to park in the lot to the south. In this guide it belongs to the Central Alberta section, one of 30 venues listed on this site.
Mayfield Investments Ltd. ran the casino through Camrose Casino Corp. until Mayfield was put into receivership on October 24, 2024. AGLC then issued an interim licence to the receiver, Ernst and Young, and the casino stayed open. In October 2024 AGLC also approved moving the casino to a new facility at 420 Parsons Road SW in Edmonton. On May 11, 2026, a Court of King's Bench judge allowed a judicial review of that move, and AGLC said no decision on next steps had been made. Construction at the Edmonton site was continuing as of May 27, 2026.
On the floor and around it
- Slots and VLTs: over 200 slot machines and 14 VLTs, or video lottery terminals, in multiple denominations and themes. Some carry progressives, jackpots that grow with play, linked either province-wide or in-house.
- Tables: Classic Blackjack, Roulette and a Texas Hold'em table game run 7 days a week. Phones and other devices stay off the tables, and players stick to one table game at a time.
- Keno and poker games still appear in the machine line-up.
- Food: Rosie's Kitchen, also called Rosie's Family Restaurant, serves hotel guests a complimentary breakfast. It opens to the public in the evenings.
- Hotel and events: the hotel offers a pool with water slide and hot tub, a fitness centre and guest laundry. The Regal Ballroom covers 7,230 sq ft and divides into two smaller rooms. There is also a separate Harvest Board Room. Together the meeting rooms hold 2 to 300 people.
- Loyalty card: this guide names no loyalty card for this venue. Winner's Edge, AGLC's province-wide casino loyalty program, is used at many Alberta casinos. Points come from carded play, meaning play logged on the card.
Before you go
The legal gambling age in Alberta is 18. Staff check valid government-issued photo ID for anyone who appears under 25, so bring it. The casino and Joker's Den are smoke-free, e-cigarettes and chewing tobacco included. Expect a dress code of shirts and shoes, bag checks, no outside food or drink, and service animals only.
Parking on site is free, with room for large trucks and buses. The "Plan your visit" table gives live table hours but leaves out casino-floor hours, because the venue's own pages differ on weekend slot hours. For those, check with the venue before setting out. The AGLC directory at aglc.ca/gaming/casinos/find-casino-rec lists addresses, phones and games. Visitors carrying foreign cash can exchange it for chips at the cage, and should call ahead for rates.
